SECTION I • TRUST INCEPTION & FOUNDING HERITAGE

Born Where Ancient Coquina Stone Meets Modern Family Stewardship.

In June 2015, patriarch Arthur R. Gase, matriarch Nancy Gase, and lifelong football strategist and NFL Head Coach Emeritus Adam J. Gase formally established The Gase Family Foundation, Inc. in St. Augustine, Florida (Sunbiz Document N15000005957). Rooted in a family culture defined by hard work, quiet humility, and devotion to team over self, the trustees sought a permanent institutional vehicle to translate generational blessings into durable community infrastructure.

Much like the historic Spanish coquina shell-stone fortifications and ancient maritime live oaks that have sheltered Florida’s First Coast for centuries, the Gase family designed their endowment for long-horizon endurance. Rather than operating transient publicity campaigns, the Foundation functions as a disciplined private grantmaking trust under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) (FEI/EIN 47-4429243).

Drawing upon Adam J. Gase’s decades on collegiate and professional sidelines—where mentorship, preparation, and resilience shape young lives—alongside Arthur and Nancy Gase’s deep commitment to St. Johns County civic welfare, the Board directs targeted grants toward public charities that elevate youth athletics, safeguard pediatric health, and conserve Northeast Florida’s irreplaceable coastal habitats.
